Former Dugger High School Standout Joel Leaman Inducted Into Butler University Hall Of Fame

(DUGGER) - On October 1, former Dugger High School standout Joel Leaman, will be inducted into the Butler University Hall of Fame.

Leaman, a graduate of Dugger High School in 1959, was a three-sport athlete at Butler University. Leaman was recruited by Tony Hinkle to play Basketball and to run cross country and track. He played basketball for three years, ran track for four years and cross country for one year. He was selected captain of the track team his senior year.

Leaman went on to coach basketball, track and cross country at Westfield High School and Pike High School from 1963 to 1993. He retired from teaching in 2010 and still resides in Indianapolis with his wife Tina and spends most of his time attending sporting events for his seven grandchildren.

He and his wife still own his childhood home in Dugger and frequently visit the town throughout the year.
