(INDIANAPOLIS) - A baby's mother and her boyfriend were found guilty of killing the child Wednesday in Indianapolis. The couple were arrested one month after the baby died, in 2014.

Elijah Polk died of blunt force trauma to the abdomen. Court records say the couple waited more than a day to get him treatment after the beating.

The boyfriend, Frank Larkins, III, was babysitting Polk and his siblings when the injuries happened. He was found guilty of aggravated battery, battery resulting in death to a person less than 14 years of age and two counts of neglect of a dependent resulting in death.

Diamond Miller was found guilty of one count of neglect of a dependent resulting in death.

Both will be sentenced Sept. 23.
