Last updated on Monday, August 1, 2016

(TERRE HAUTE) - Conservation officers are seeking the public’s help in finding a Vigo County man wanted for questioning in a shooting investigation.

Police are looking for 67-year-old Steve Day of North Pottsville Road in West Terre Haute.

DNR officers want to ask him about the shooting of Floyd Cheeseman last Saturday.

The 39-year Cheeseman was shot in the stomach while in a boat with several other people on the Wabash River near the town of Tecumseh in Vigo County.

Evidence led to search warrants at Day's home where more evidence was recovered.

Anyone with information on Day's whereabouts is asked to call Indiana Conservation Officers at (812) 837-9536.
