More Than A Dozen Vehicles Broken Into Friday At State Fair

Last updated on Monday, August 8, 2016

(INDIANAPOLIS) - More than a dozen vehicles were broken into Friday at the first day of the State Fair.

Indiana State Police say at least 17 vehicles were broken into, all of them parked in the infield lot. Most had their windows broken.

Police believe the thieves saw valuables things like electronics and wallets in plain view and that's why those vehicles were targeted.

Troopers are stepping up patrols, but remind fairgoers to make sure all valuables are kept out of sight.
