(EVANSVILLE) - A man is in jail after chasing two women and cutting one of them with a knife.

The Evansville Police Department received a call from someone in a home in the 200 block of Maxwell Avenue where a male voice stated someone was going to get killed.

Victims told police Michael Hoover, 37-years-old, came at them with a knife in an alley.

Hoover ran from police but was eventually tracked down.

Hoover is facing battery with a deadly weapon, intimidation, and resisting arrest charges. He is being held without bond.
