(COLUMBUS) - The Indiana State Police is asking for the public's help in providing information in the investigation of a theft from a police vehicle that occurred over the weekend on the west side of Columbus.

On Saturday August 27, between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., an unmarked state police vehicle was broken into at the Clarion Hotel located at 2480 Jonathan Moore Pike, Columbus, Indiana. The suspects took numerous items from the vehicle including a Dell laptop computer, a Remington 12 gauge shotgun, and an undisclosed amount of cash.
