(CARLISLE) - A judge has issued a warrant for a prison inmate accused of severely beating a correction officer at the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility in Carlisle.
Judge Robert Hunley signed a warrant charging Glen Young, of Lake County, charging him with aggravated battery and battery resulting in serious bodily injury.
Prison officials say Young attacked Officer Ben Scott the morning of July 11. DOC records show Young was serving a six year prison sentence for firearm possession.
The DOC transferred young to Pendleton since the incident.
The Sullivan County Prosecutor's Office says no hearing date has been set.
