Former Park Tudor Coach Sentenced In Sexual Coercion Case

Last updated on Monday, August 1, 2016

(NEW ALBANY) - A federal judge sentenced a former Park Tudor School coach and teacher to 14-years in prison Friday following his conviction for coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity.

Federal officials say 31-year-old Kyle Cox of Fishers gave the female victim a role on the basketball team and began conversing with her through texts and Instagram, describing sexually explicit conduct.

Cox sent her sexually explicit pictures of himself and persuaded her to do the same.

Authorities say Cox devised a plan to bring the victim to his family's home in Fishers so that he could have sexual contact with her while his wife and daughters were out of town.

That meeting never took place because Cox's intentions were discovered by the victim's parents
