Evansville Woman Jail After Forcing Man To Make False Confession

(EVANSVILLE) - An Evansville woman was jailed Thursday after she forced a man to give a false confession in the disappearance of 19-year-old Aleah Beckerle.

Debra Wollner, 51, of Evansville held 41-year-old James Martin against his will for several hours back on July 21st according to Evansville Police. Martin told police Wollner hit him repeatedly with a metal pipe that day and a second woman assaulted him with her hands and feet.

Wollner is facing preliminary charges for battery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit battery and criminal confinement. Evansville Police continue investigating Beckerle's disappearance.
