Conservation Officers Offer Hunter Education Classes

(UNDATED) - Indiana Conservation Officers in District Four are offering multiple Hunter Education classes across the district.

Indiana Hunter Education Courses provide instruction in the areas of safe firearm use and handling while hunting, as well as in the home, hunter ethics and responsibility, game identification, and conservation management.

Anyone born after December 31, 1986 is required to be certified in Hunter Education before they can purchase a hunting license.

The course is a total of ten hours long and is free of charge. Register for these classes by going to the website www.indianahuntereducation.com, choosing the traditional course, and entering your zip code.

The upcoming Hunter Education schedule for public classes in District Four is as follows:

August 26, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and August 27, 2016 from 10a.m. to 6p.m. at the Greensboro Community Center (120 E North Street Greensboro, Indiana 47344)
September 7, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30p, September 8, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., September 14, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., September 15, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., September 17, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and September 21, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Monroe Township Conservation Club (2400 E 700 S Muncie, Indiana 46018)
September 9, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.and September 10, 2016 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Limberlost Coon Club (039 W 750 N Bryant, Indiana 47326)
September 10, 2016 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and September 11, 2016 from 8 a.m. to Noon at the Elwood Conservation Club (9420 N 1000 W Elwood, Indiana 46036)
