Two Woman Arrested After Troopers Find Drugs

(VIGO CO.) - Tuesday morning, Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Troopers stopped a blue 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier at Sixth and Crawford Streets in Terre Haute after someone in the vehicle threw a cigarette out the window and the officer noticed a faulty brake light.

During the traffic stop, troopers discovered approximately 2.5 grams of suspected meth, approximately 3 grams of marijuana, syringes, and assorted drug paraphernalia inside a bag in the vehicle.

Police arrested the driver 23-year-old Amanda Hancock, of Terre Haute on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.

The passenger, 25-year-old Ashley McMickle, was arrested on a warrant for a probation violation in Vigo County and charges of possession of meth, possession of marijuana, dealing meth and dealing marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle.

Both were taken to the Vigo County Jail.

The arrest was made by ISP Meth Suppression Troopers Shilo Raulston, BJ Patterson, and Adam Edwards. Assisting was ISP Master Trooper Jason Owen.
