(VIGO COUNTY) - An investigation is now underway after a shooting in Western Vigo County. It happened on the Wabash River near Tecumseh, Indiana.
Indiana Conservation Officers say 39-year-old Floyd Cheeseman of West Terre Haute was shot in the abdomen by an unknown assailant.
They say the shooting happened just before 8 p.m. on Saturday.
Conservation Officers also say the victim underwent surgery at Regional Hospital. His condition is unknown.
Terre Haute City Police and the Vigo County Sheriff's Office also assisted with this case.
