Judge To Rule On State's New Abortion Law Before July 1

Last updated on Friday, June 17, 2016

(INDIANAPOLIS) - A federal judge is promising to rule on Indiana’s new abortion law before it takes effect July 1st.

Even before the morning hearing, Indiana Right to Life was predicting that U.S. District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt would block the law, noting she was nominated by President Obama.

The law says you can't get an abortion based on the gender of the fetus or if it has a disability.
