(SCOTT CO.) - Just before noon on Tuesday, an Indiana State trooper saw Anthony Craig Fortner near Lake Iola in Scottsburg.
Fortner, 44, was wanted on a warrant out of Scott County for removing the home incarceration bracelet he was on.
When Fortner saw the trooper, he took off running trying to elude the trooper.
The trooper called for assistance and a perimeter was set up by other troopers.
During a search of the area, Fortner was located in a creek and wooded area south of Lake Iola.
Before Fortner was taken into custody a taser was used on him due to him resisting troopers.
Fortner was incarcerated at the Scott County Jail for escape and resisting arrest by fleeing.
