(WASHINGTON, DC) - Senator Dan Coats (R-Ind.) has been named a 2016 Hero of Main Street by the National Retail Federation for supporting policies and initiatives that encourage a vibrant, sustained and healthy retail sector.
"Indiana retailers are flourishing and local communities across our state are benefitting from Indiana's pro-growth economic environment," said Coats. "I will continue to support federal policies that encourage our Hoosier businesses to innovate and expand."
The award is based on voting record, bill sponsorship and efforts to reform the Affordable Care Act and U.S. tax code.
