(RICHMOND) - A man ended up with part of his nose missing following a fight in Richmond over the weekend.

According to Richmond police, multiple officers were dispatched to the reported fight near South 16th and D streets around 7:50 p.m. Friday. The emergency call said a person's nose had been bitten during the fight and that one of the people involved had left in a green Ford pickup truck.

FOX59 reports, officers found 40-year-old Michael Drew of Richmond, at the scene. He told officers he was riding in the pickup when he got into an argument with another passenger, identified as 23-year-old James Delk of New Castle. Drew said the truck stopped; he and Delk got out and started to fight.

During the ensuing brawl, Delk bit Drew's nose, police said. Richmond Fire Department EMS treated him at the scene before taking him to Reid Health for further treatment; police observed part of Drew's nose was missing.

Police found Delk and the truck on North C Street. He had blood on his clothes, investigators said. Police arrested Delk on preliminary charges of aggravated battery and battery resulting in serious bodily injury. He was also wanted on a warrant out of Henry County for a battery charge, police said.
