(INDIANAPOLIS) - A man is recovering after falling into a mulcher Saturday morning.
The Lawrence Fire Department responded to Indiana Mulch & Stone on Pendleton Pike around 8:45 a.m. for reports of a 52-year-old man who had slipped and fallen into an auger. Officials say the machine was off when the incident happened, but it turned on when the man fell in.
Emergency crews had to cut away parts of the machine to free the victim. He was taken via helicopter to Methodist where he was listed in stable but serious condition at last check.
