Bob Knight To Speak At Event In Indianapolis

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Legendary college basketball coach Bob Knight will offer an engaging motivational talk about his unparalleled basketball coaching career and leadership philosophy on Thursday, June 16, at the Murat Theatre at Old National Centre in Indianapolis.

The event will also feature a Q&A session and a special meet-and-greet opportunity for 40 guests. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Victory Sports Education Program (VSEP), which promotes the benefits of exercise, proper diet, physical fitness and wellness to encourage local Indianapolis area youth to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, at 10 a.m. and will be available at the Old National Centre Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, OldNationalCentre.com, Ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000. Tickets range from $35-$55, with a limited number of $200 tickets available for special access to the pre-show meet-and-greet and signed photo opportunity.

The evening's schedule:

Knight won 902 games and three NCAA Division I men's college basketball championships during his head coaching career, which spanned from 1965-2008. Knight coached the Indiana University men's basketball team from 1971-2000. He was named National Coach of the Year four times, Big Ten Coach of the Year six times and led the United States men's basketball team to the gold medal in the 1984 Summer Olympics.

One of the most respected and successful coaches in American sports history, Knight was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1991 and the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006.
