ConAgra Recalls Two Beef Products Due To Possible Allergen

Last updated on Monday, May 23, 2016

(WASHINGTON) - ConAgra is recalling more than 80,000 pounds of beef products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen.

The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall Wednesday of "Marie Callender's Salisbury Steak with Roasted Potatoes and Home-Style Gravy served with Cheesy Broccoli & Cauliflower" and "Molly's Kitchen Macaroni & Beef with Tomato Sauce" because the products were incorrectly made with Worcestershire sauce, which may contain anchovies - a known allergen which is not listed on the product label.

The affected products were produced on April 13-14, 2016. The Marie Callender's product has a package code of 5014610500 and packaging date of April 14, 2016, while the Molly's Kitchen product has a package code of 5014610400 and packaging date of April 13, 2016.

Both products have the number "EST. 1058" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

While there have been no confirmed cases of adverse reactions to either product, those who are concerned should seek help from a healthcare provider. If you have the product, do not eat them, instead throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
