Two Vehicle Crash On U.S. 41 Claims Life Of Vincennes Man

(KNOX CO.) - A two-vehicle crash on U.S. 41 in Knox County Tuesday morning claimed the life of a 38-year-old Vincennes man.

The identity of the deceased will be released after his family have been notified.

The crash was reported at 6:55 a.m. at U.S. 41 at Industrial Drive . Indiana State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on US 41 at Industrial Drive at 6:55 a.m.

According to police, 22-year-old Raigen Bailey, of Farmersburg, was driving an Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) dump truck westbound on Industrial Drive approaching US 41. She was in the process of crossing the northbound lanes to go southbound on US 41. After stopping at the stop sign, Bailey failed to see a white 2011 Mazda traveling northbound in the passing lane on U.S. 41 and pulled out into the vehicle's path. The crash occurred in the northbound passing lane at Industrial Drive.

The driver of the Mazda was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes where he later died from his injuries. Bailey was also taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where she was treated and released.

The crash investigation is continuing.
