(DALE) - After police received tip from the public two people from Dale were arrested on drug charges.
The Jasper Police Department says 45-year old Tina Somers is charged with possession of synthetic marijuana, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a legend drugp
A second person, 30-year old Leigha Gentry, also from Dale, is facing charges of possession of a marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The tipster told police that a driver of a van was possibly transporting drugs. The driver was seen driving along Leopold Street.
Officers stopped the vehicle for speeding while it was traveling south on U.S. 231 (Newton Street) near 12th at about 2:30 p.m.
Officer found the drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the van.
