State Leaders Move Forward To Get Rid Of ISTEP

Last updated on Thursday, April 28, 2016

(INDIANAPOLIS) - State leaders are moving forward with a plan to get rid of ISTEP.

State Superintendent Glenda Ritz and Senate President David Long have appointed members of a special review panel.

The team includes two teachers, two superintendents, two principals, one business leader and a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association.

The group will look into alternatives to ISTEP.

The exam will end by July of next year, under a bill passed earlier this year by the state legislature.
