(PARKE CO.) - A Parke County tree expert John Montgomery places 43 at International Tree Climbing Championship
Montgomery, not only works with trees on a daily basis, but he spends his days climbing them. John's been a tree climber for almost 18 years.
He traveled to San Antonio, Texas this past weekend to compete in the International Tree Climbing Championship. His goal was to finish in the top 20 - and while he didn't quite reach that goal, he did place 43 out of 64 competitors.
Competitors from 18 different countries were at the competition April 2 and 3.
