Last updated on Monday, April 18, 2016

(SELLERSBURG-NEW PEKIN) - Indiana Department of Transportation officials met with its contractor, E & B Paving, at Seymour District offices last week to discuss schedules and review plans for a $4,422,000 resurfacing project along 18 miles of State Road 60 in Clark and Washington Counties.

Traffic at New Pekin, Borden, Bennettsville, Hamburg and Sellersburg will be impacted at times once operations begin in mid-May.

The Clarksville contractor is charged with making a number of full-depth concrete patches and partial-depth asphalt patches before milling and paving S.R. 60 between U.S. Highway 31 at Sellersburg and S.R. 335/Fifth Street at New Pekin. The state's pavement preservation project includes work at more than 500 road and driveway approaches.

Traffic count for S.R. 60 is 11,390 vehicles per day.
