Evansville Woman Arrested for Driving Under The Influence, Possessing Hydrocodone

(NORTH VERNON) - An Evansville woman was arrested for driving under the influence and possession hydrocodone Wednesday night.

According to an Indiana State Police report, at at approximately 6:36 p.m., Trooper Brent Gramig stopped 40-year-old Crystal Jacoby, when she failed to use your turn signal when pulling out of Huck's Convenience Store on Main Street in Mt. Vernon.

During the traffic stop it was revealed Jacoby had never received a driver's license. Gramig also noticed Jacoby showed signs of impairment. During a search of the vehicle, Gramig found 18 pills in a cigarette pack that were later identified as Hydrocodone. Further investigation revealed Jacoby was under the influence, but she refused to submit to a chemical test. She was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated refusal on a scheduled II drug; possession of a schedule II drug and operating a vehicle without ever receiving a driver's license and taken to the Posey County Jail where she is currently being held on bond.
