Dubois Deputies Conducting Death Investigation

(JASPER) - Dubois County Sheriff deputies don’t suspect any foul play is involved in the death of a man found Wednesday on property about two miles north of Jasper.

Police say the death is not believed to be criminal in nature and no foul play is suspected at this time. Authorities are withholding the man's identity until all family members are notified.

Police received a call at 6:18 p.m. reporting a report of a dead man in the 200 block of West County Road 600 North. The man had been discovered by residents of the property near a lake on the property.

The investigation is ongoing and the results of an autopsy and toxicology testing are pending.

Haysville First Responders, Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services, Indiana Conservation Officers, Dubois County Coroner's and Becher & Kluesner Funderal Home assisted at the scene.
