Broccoli Recalled After Fear Of Listeria Contamination

(INDIANAPOLIS) - One company has issued a voluntary recall of their frozen broccoli.

Alimentos Congelados has recalled their frozen broccoli cuts over fears of possible listeria contamination.

The product affected by the voluntary recall are Wylwood Brand's 16 ounce bags of fresh frozen broccoli cuts with the universal product code 519-33-00110.

States affected by the recall include Alabama, Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, South and North Carolina, West Virgina, Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.

Those found to be in possession of this possibly contaminated product are asked to throw them away.

Listeria has been shown to lead to serious and sometimes even fatal infections in children, the elderly and anyone with weakened immune system.
