(GULFPORT, MS) - Monday morning, following a four week long investigation into the armed robbery of a Key Bank, in Kokomo, resulted in the arrest of 21-year-old Mykelti Robinson of Gulfport, MS.

Robinson surrendered to federal law enforcement authorities in Gulfport. He was incarcerated on a federal charge of bank robbery.

On March 29, 2016, officers from the Indiana State Police responded to an active hold up alarm at the Key Bank located at 1151 East Hoffer Street in Kokomo, IN.

When officers arrived, the suspect had already exited the bank. A subsequent search of the area did not reveal the suspect. The suspect escaped with an undetermined amount of United States currency.

The initial investigation by detectives from the Indiana State Police, the Kokomo Police Department, and agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation revealed that a black male approximately 5'11" tall entered the bank and displayed a handgun. He demanded money from a bank teller. The teller complied with the request and the man exited the bank and fled on foot, in an unknown direction.
