(MT. VERNON) - A Mt. Vernon woman was found dead Saturday night inside her car in Hovey Lake.
Posey County Sheriff Greg Oeth says several rescue crews responded to the scene after the sheriff's office got a tip just after 6 p.m. about a car being in the lake.
According to the sheriff, it took time for crews to find the car. When they did, they found 47-year-old Tammy Stull inside.
We're told they tried to resuscitate her, but it was too late.
An investigation is ongoing.
Stull's family has created a GoFundMe page to raise money for funeral costs.
