Marijuana Grow Operation Found At Rosedale Home

(PARKE CO.) - A Parke County man was arrested after Indiana State police found a marijuana grow at his home in Rosedale.

On Tuesday afternoon, Indiana State Police troopers from the Putnamville District Drug Task Force executed a Parke County Circuit Court search warrant at 2906 West Lambert Avenue near the town of Rosedale.

There troopers found more than a pound of marijuana, smoking devices and other assorted drug paraphernalia items.

During a search of the garage, troopers found a grow room with halogen grow lights, 16 partially harvested marijuana plants, fertilizer, potting soil, chemicals, alternate electrical power sources, blowers, and other items associated with growing marijuana.

Troopers arrested 50-year-old Michael Stanfield on charges of possession of marijuana, cultivating marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance.

Assisting were ISP Crime Scene Investigations and the Parke County Sheriff's Office.

Anyone wishing to report suspected drug activity in the Putnamville District is urged to call the post at (765) 653-4114. Callers can remain anonymous. The district covers Parke, Vermillion, Vigo, Clay, Putnam, and Sullivan counties.
