Man Dies After Falling At Automated Routing Inc.

(FULDA) - A Perry County man died Friday morning after he accidental fell at Automated Routing Inc. and hit his head on the corner of a router table.

Emergency crews were called to the plant at 16920 N. State Road 545 after a report of an employee injured.

According to Spencer County Coroner Robert Fuller 52-year-old Randell Harris of Tell City was sweeping the shop floor when he tripped while stepping backward and struck his head just behind his right ear on the corner of a wood and steel router table, knocking him out.

Co-workers discovered Harris and many who are first responders rendered first aid.

Fuller says Harris died from loss of blood and was pronounced dead at the shop at 8:47 a.m. CST.

The Indiana Occupational Safety and Health Administration will investigating the incident.

St. Meinrad Volunteer Fire Department and Spencer County Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.
