(WARREN) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a Huntington County drowning stemming from a traffic accident on March 20.
Autopsy results indicated that 22-year-old Jeremy Ralston drowned after a traffic accident that ended with Ralston's car upside down in the Salamonie River near the south end of Main Street in Warren.
According to Indiana Conservation Officer Bryan Beneke, on the morning of Sunday, March 20, a Warren resident located a vehicle upside-down in approximately three feet of water in the middle of the Salamonie River.
At the dead end of Main Street in Warren, Ralston's vehicle continued south off of the road, went airborne and came to rest on its roof in the Salamonie River.
Ralston had been last seen in Warren during the early morning hours.
Emergency personnel found Ralston in the driver's seat of the partially submerged vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Indiana Conservation Officers were assisted in the recovery and investigation by Warren Police Department, Indiana State Police, Warren FD, Huntington County Technical Rescue Team, and the Huntington County Coroner.
