Woman Accused In Violent Home Invasion Charged With Murder

(HARRISON CO.) - A woman accused of playing a role in a violent home invasion is now charged with murder and strangulation.

Tara Van Winkle is charged in connection with a double-shooting that happened last month in Palmyra, Indiana, according to a release from the Harrison County prosecutor.

Police say Van Winkle and Travis Fentress killed Ralph Thomas. Fentress is accused of shooting Thomas in the head.

Fentress' wife was also shot, but she survived.

Van Winkle and Fentress were arrested in Madison, Indiana, last month.

Fentress was charged with murder last week.
