No New Information In Homicide Of Virginia Myrtle

(CLAY CO.) - Indiana State Police reported Wednesday morning that there is no new information to release in regards to the homicide investigation in Staunton.

Police were called to 208 Columbus Street in Staunton just after 3 p.m. on Sunday. When they arrived, they found a middle-aged white female dead. Preliminary autopsy results showed foul play was involved and the matter of death was a homicide.

On Monday, an autopsy was performed on the victim who was identified as Virginia Marie Myrtle, 52. The actual cause of death has not been released yet.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Joe Watts reports ISP and the Clay County Sheriff's Office continue to conduct interviews related to the homicide.
