(VIGO CO.) - Vigo Coal Company says it will lay off 66 employees at its Liberty mines in Boonville and Mount Carmel, Illinois.
Vigo supplied coal to Alcoa, which announced earlier this month it would be ceasing operations at its Warrick County smelter due to a continuing decline in aluminum prices.
