UPDATED 4-Year-Old And Her Grandfather Die In Early Morning Fire

(HAGERSTOWN) - A 4-year-old girl and her 52-year-old grandfather died in a house fire early Wednesday morning just west of Hagerstown near the Henry and Wayne County line.

A family member discovered the fire.

Firefighters pulled Jenna L. Dale girl from the fire, but she later died. Her grandfather 52-year-old Michael Dale died in the house.

Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jimmy Raines says the house just south of Indiana 38 near Hagerstown was fully involved when firefighters arrived shortly after the 1 a.m. call.

Firefighters remained on the scene Wednesday morning along with the state fire marshal.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire
