State Police Still Searching For Information About Fatal Head-On Crash

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana State Police is still looking for information after a fatal head-on crash that happened on Interstate 70 in December.

The accident happened on Dec. 19 just before 3:30 p.m.

ISP reported two vehicles collided on I-70 at mile marker 73.3, near Lynhurst Drive and just east of Indianapolis International Airport. 75-year-old Martha Southwickof Terre Haute was driving a Dodge Caravan when a semi hit her from behind. She overcorrected, crossing the grass median and hitting an eastbound Chevrolet car head-on.

Southwick, the only person in the van, was pronounced dead at the scene while two other people were treated for serious injuries.

The driver of the semi did not stop. Officials are still needing your help to locate this driver. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call ISP Trooper Justin Geltmaker at (317) 899-8577.
