(COLUMBUS) - A standoff involving a Columbus man ended peacefully late Tuesday afternoon.
Police say a woman called police around 5 p.m. when her 36-year-old son was damaging her home and reportedly had a gun.
The woman exited the house and spoke with officers, however, her husband remained inside the residence with their son.
Negotiators from the Columbus Police Department spoke with the father and son for nearly 90 minutes before the son surrendered to police.
He was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital for evaluation.
