(UNDATED) - The January-February issue of Outdoor Indiana magazine brings the history of Hoosier state parks to life as the attractions enter their 100th anniversary year.

Feature articles include a removable booklet marking important dates; an article on Col. Richard Lieber, known as the father of Indiana state parks; and a story comparing the Indiana landscape of 1816 to today's.

The 48-page full-color magazine also includes an article describing the science behind snowflakes and much more.

Outdoor Indiana is available now at most Barnes & Noble stores for $4. A one-year, six-issue subscription costs $15 (a 27 percent savings). A two-year subscription is $28 (a 42 percent savings). Subscribe online for yourself or as a gift or read excerpts at OutdoorIndiana.org. You may also subscribe by calling (317) 233-3046.

The 2016 Outdoor Indiana calendar, a $10 value, will be included free with new subscriptions while supplies last.
