Lafayette Police Issue Warning After Spotting Coyote

(LAFAYETTE) - Lafayette police issued a warning after a coyote was spotted near the Friendly Village Trailer Park along US 52 South Thursday.

Police said they received reports about the coyote acting aggressive, showing its teeth and foaming at the mouth. It took off into the woods and couldn't be found.

As a general warning, Lafayette police said if anyone observes any aggressive animal to stay away and call authorities. Wild animals may be dangerous, even if they are dead.
