Indiana Conservation Officers Investigate Hunting Incident In DeKalb County

(LAOTTO) Indiana Conservation Officer Levi Knach investigated a hunting incident near LaOtto, Indiana on Friday, January 9, at approximately 10:10 p.m.

38-year-old Todd Thrush of Garrett was raccoon hunting near LaOtto when his .22 rifle accidentally discharged into his left thigh while he was placing the firearm in the vehicle.

Thrush's hunting partner transported Thrush to DeKalb Memorial Health in Auburn, Indiana for treatment of his injury.

Indiana Conservation Officer Levi Knach was assisted by the Auburn Police Department.
