Former Colts Player's Son Killed In Shooting

(WATERVLIET, NY) - The son of a former Indianapolis Colts player was killed in a shooting Friday night in New York, our sister station WTEN reports.

New York police arrested 49-year-old Michael Fox after a five-hour standoff, according to WTEN.Brandon Sherwin, the son of Tim Sherwin, who played for the Colts in the 1980s, was fatally shot in Watervliet, New York, north of Albany, police tell WTEN.

Brandon Sherwin was reportedly found dead inside a house.

Fox faces several preliminary charges, including murder.

Tim Sherwin was a Colts tight end from 1981 to 1987 before playing one season with the New York Giants.
