Last updated on Friday, January 22, 2016

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The manner of death for a man who died after a fight at Kilroy’s Bar N’ Grill has been ruled a homicide, the Marion County Coroner’s Office confirmed Thursday.

59-year-old John Hilf of St. Louis died after hitting his head at the downtown Kilroy's location on January 9.

Investigators believe that an altercation took place between Hilf and another man in the bar.

The coroner's office said Hilf died from a blunt force traumatic injury due to a fall he sustained after being pushed during the fight.

The man accused of pushing Hilf was detained and questioned by police, but his name has not been released.
