State Ranks 15th For Best Policies Protecting Animals

(UNDATED) - Indiana is in the top tier in an annual ranking of states with the best policies protecting animals.

The Animal League Defense Fund ranks Indiana 15th nationally for protection laws allowing veterinarians to be immune from civil liability when report animal cruelty and neglect.

The state also allows for animals to be included in protective orders in cases of domestic violence,prohibits animal fighting, cruelty and abandonment.
