Last updated on Friday, December 11, 2015

(ANDERSON) - A reserve Markleville police officer was arrested Wednesday after a stolen Jonesboro Police Department was found on his vehicle.

On December 2, Jonesboro Police Chief Dennis Conrad contact Pendleton police to report a license plate had been stolen from a locked cabinet.

Police learned that the plate had been seen on the personal car of 23-year-old Dion L. Poole of Anderson. Poole had been a reserve Jonesboro police officer April to June 2015. He was terminated in June and hired later as a Markleville reserve officer.

Police found Poole Wednesday night around 7:45 p.m. as he pulled into a Waffle House. The stolen plate was on his car, a black 2009 Dodge Charger, underneath his correct license place.

Poole was wearing his Markleville Police Department uniform when he was arrested.
