Former Knox Co. Housing Authority Employee Arrested On Theft, Drug Charges

Last updated on Wednesday, December 2, 2015

(VINCENNES) - An ongoing investigation into the theft of some equipment from the Knox County Housing Authority resulted in the arrest of a former employee.

Knox County Sheriff Mike Morris says deputies arrested 34-year-old Bryan Reed at a Vincennes Motel on Saturday.

Morris says the investigation has been ongoing since this summer when the Housing Authority asked his department to investigate the theft of some equipment.

Morris says at the time of the investigation, Reed had been fired from the Housing Authority and had left Knox County for Missouri. Detectives with the Sheriff's Department had been working with Missouri authorities to locate Reed and serve a warrant without much success. However, Morris says they received a tip that Reed was going to be back in Vincennes this past weekend.

Morris says at the time of his arrest, Reed was also found to be in possession of meth.

Morris says the investigation is ongoing.
