(INDIANAPOLIS) - The lights are about to go on at Monument Circle.
This will be the 53rd year that the downtown Soldiers and Sailors Monument will light up with "52 strands and 4,784 lights", pretty much the same configuration that has always been used according to Julia Saltsgaver with Quality Connection.
The contracting company and the retired electricians of IBEW Local 481 installed and started testing the lights almost two weeks ago to make sure nothing goes wrong when Santa flips the switch tomorrow night.
Typically, the lights all stay on once they are lit. The lights will remain on until January 9, 2016.
