Last updated on Wednesday, November 4, 2015

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Riley Children’s Foundation has launched The Gift of Hope Happens Here, the third annual year-end giving campaign to support patients at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health.

Support for Riley Children's Foundation offers hope to families seeking help for seriously ill and injured children; help that only Riley Hospital for Children can provide. This year, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, will serve as the Giving Ambassador for the campaign.

"During the holiday season, we ask you to keep the kids and families at Riley Hospital for Children in mind," said Kevin O'Keefe, President and CEO of Riley Children's Foundation. "The most precious gifts we can give them are the gifts of hope and healing. By supporting our holiday season campaign, you can provide hope to families."

"Riley Hospital has a national reputation for excellence and is an invaluable resource for not only Indiana but the entire Midwest due to the level of care and expertise it offers patients and families," said Steven Alonso, President and CEO of Fifth Third Bank, Greater Indiana. "To partner with an organization that is so widely respected and recognized provides Fifth Third a wonderful opportunity to impact the entire state by improving lives and strengthening families."

"Riley patients are among the recipients of our donors' generosity. The donors are deeply touched by the opportunity to help those in need--especially Riley kids--and Indiana Blood Center is proud to serve such a well-respected organization," said Wendy Mehringer, Vice President of Blood Services at Indiana Blood Center.

Every gift makes an impact

Without external financial support, the dedicated medical team at Riley Hospital could not deliver expert and compassionate care and breakthrough pediatric research. Generous donors also allow Riley Hospital to provide cutting-edge facilities and cover the costs of medical specialty areas that are not self-sustaining. Families from all 92 Indiana counties turn to Riley Hospital for hope and healing 300,000 times each year.
