(SPEEDWAY) - A person is now in custody after an officer involved shooting in Speedway. The shooting began as a car chase around 2 a.m. Sunday near High School Road and West Washington Street.
According to Speedway Police, the suspect stopped the car, got out, and started running while showing a weapon.
This prompted the responding officer to fire a single shot. The suspect was apprehended and taken into custody. No one was injured.
