(VINCENNES) - A fire Sunday morning at a Vincennes business remains under investigation.
Around 11 a.m., a passerby spotted a fire at the Clip Joint Beauty Salon at 1617 North Second Street. The motorist reported the fire to Vincennes University Police who in turn called the Fire Department.
Battalion Chief Tony Jarrell says the fire was contained to the exterior of the building. There was minimal damage to the building.
Jarrell says the fire is suspicious in nature and remains under investigation by the fire department.
Second Street between St. Clair and Red Skelton Boulevard was closed for roughly an hour while firefighters were on the scene.
Jarrell says about an hour before that incident, firefighters put out a fire in a mulch pit at the corner of First Street and Red Skelton Boulevard.
